This is a project I did for James Gladman's Visualizing music class. Here I am visualizing a specific electronic musical genre known as "phonk." Phonk music has a key characteristic of distorting vocal performances to a point where the vocals often become unrecognizable. My main idea behind this project was to visualize the vocals since they were acting like a sound rather than a voice. me and my friend, jen, visualized ourselves as those distorted vocals.
